Lew Burton

I have been a university lecturer (risk management, corporate finance, alternative investments), portfolio manager at a hedge fund, evaluator of managers for a fund of funds, and have had various roles on proprietary trading, fixed income and derivatives desks. Along the way, I have worked with some great people.

At the intersection of my experience and research interests are short selling, options strategies, and portfolio construction. I find structural sources of returns (e.g. market segmentation and regulation), and look for instances of sphexishness.

I am fortunate to have lived in Amherst, Auckland, Chicago, New York, Portland, Taichung and Wanaka.
